New or worsening rectal bleeding (stable patients)
Iron deficiency anemia
Abnormal liver enzymes
Elevated bilirubin
Chronic diarrhea
Suspected inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
Severe or refractory GERD
Persistent abdominal pain with abnormal imaging
CT scan or ultrasound abnormalities
Post-ER or post-hospital GI follow-up

Symptoms persist despite initial treatment
There is unexplained weight loss, bleeding, or anemia
A diagnosis has already been made but questions remain
